The 12th International Workshop of Advanced Manufacturing and Automation (IWAMA 2022)

  The 12th International Workshop on Advanced Manufacturing and Automation (IWAMA2022) was held at Jimei University. The conference featured online expert keynote speeches, exhibition of research outcomes, and thematic workshops. Nearly 100 experts and scholars from domestic and foreign universities and research institutes, including those from the UK, Norway, Iran, Angola, and China, participated in the conference through a combination of online and offline formats. The conference engaged in two days of discussion and exchange on the technological frontiers and innovations in the field of advanced manufacturing and automation. Professor Xu Zhilong, the dean, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Relevant teachers and graduate students from the mechanical engineering discipline also participated. Professor Luo Shanming and Vice Dean Chen Ning presided over the opening ceremony and the conference, respectively.

                                                             

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Wang Yi, the General Chairman of the IWAMA 2022 Committee, delivered an opening speech. Mr. Yu Tao, the First Chairman of IWAMA and the President of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, reviewed the 11-year history of the International Symposium on Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Technology. Eight renowned experts from both domestic and international backgrounds were invited to deliver keynote reports and share their latest research findings. The conference included over 90 papers, with 16 authors presenting their papers at two sub-forums covering different themes: artificial intelligence and design and optimization.

It is reported that the International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Technology (IWAMA), aimed at discussing new ideas and trends in the field of advanced manufacturing and automation, has been successfully held for 12 times. It is held annually at various universities and research institutes around the world. IWAMA has now expanded into an annual event for experts in the field of advanced manufacturing and automation worldwide.
