The 16th International Workshop on Advanced Manufacturing and Automation (IWAMA 2026) to be held in Shanghai, Focusing on Humanoid Robots

The 16th International Workshop on Advanced Manufacturing and Automation (IWAMA 2026) will be grandly held from October 12th to 13th, 2026, at Shanghai University, China. This conference is hosted by Shanghai University and aims to provide an important international platform for academic and industrial experts in the fields of advanced manufacturing and automation worldwide to exchange the latest trends and share cutting-edge ideas.

Manufacturing and automation technologies are crucial for a nation's economic prosperity and the improvement of living standards, and technologies in these fields are rapidly evolving. The core theme of IWAMA 2026 is "Humanoid Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing". It encompasses nearly 25 cutting-edge topics such as Industry 4.0/5.0, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Intelligence, Smart Factories, Additive Manufacturing (3D printing), and Sustainable Production, demonstrating the conference's broad academic inclusiveness and forward-looking nature.

This conference has issued a Call for Papers, inviting scholars worldwide to submit original research results or innovative application papers. Papers must be written in English and should be 6 to 8 pages in length. All submitted papers will undergo strict peer review. Accepted papers will be published in the Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE) series by Springer, and indexed by EI Compendex. Selected outstanding papers will also have the opportunity to be recommended for expanded publication in well-known international EI or SCI journals such as Advances in Manufacturing and Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing. The deadline for paper abstract submission is July 15th, 2026.

The conference will feature various formats of communication, including keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster sessions, and industrial forums. The registration fee is £250 (including one regular or poster paper). The venue for the conference will be "BIRDS@SHU", Shanghai University.
